The notion that deceased persons and their bodies deserve respect and dignified treatment is common to and deeply embedded within different societal, religious and cultural traditions.
This expert panel will share reflections and perspectives on rights-based approaches to protecting the dead, including how to best ensure such protections, uphold human rights, including religious and cultural rights, conduct death investigations, and promote the dignified treatment of deceased persons and their families worldwide.*
